My name is Joe Shepard and I have been a stay-at-home father for the past 10 years. During that time, I have been working part-time at Companions and Homemakers. I decided to go in this field because I took care of my parents for awhile and I saw firsthand the struggles they went through on a daily basis. After seeing that, I wanted to be part of someone's life and be able to help them and make their life a little easier. I consider myself to be a very patient, understanding, and caring person and it brings great joy and satisfaction to me that I am able to help another person when they need assistance. I am not certified for personal care but I have done jobs where I will do errands, clean the house, make lunches, drive to appointments, and just someone to provide companionship so the person has someone to talk to and not feel lonely during the day.
