My aunt suffered a stroke and a heart attack simultaneously and she didn't make it. She was the only person who understood me and was relatable to me since then I've developed a passion to help others get better because I always saw the smile on her face when I did the littlest things. It made me want to make other people feel the same way. I love those moments when I get to feel a connection with my residents and actually understand what I thought was a difficult moment. I've had the blessing of being with my resident's in their final moments and it just makes me want to do more and be better for the next person I care for.
