I became a caregiver at the age of 19. I have been employed in nursing home facilities and by individuals (couples). I have cared for my grandparents while they suffered from cardiac issues, dementia, anurisuims, and kidney failure. I have owned and operated a group child care facility while my children were growing up. I have raised three of my own children, a neice, nephew, and two grandchildren. I have worked for over 14 years as our church nursery supervisor. I am fun, energetic, creative, dependable, and resourceful. I have cared for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, ALS, HNPP, heart conditions, incontinence, cancer. I am able to assist with personal needs, (dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, medications, housekeeping, grocery shopping, meal preparation, errands, appointments, yard work, physical and memory exercises), and most of all provide companionship. I feel it is important for individuals to engage in activities (as they are able). I am very resourceful, creative, reliable and dependable.
