I am a caring, honest, and trustworthy RN who loves to make a difference in people's lives. My journey started while as was working in the adult care home, as a caregiver. I have had the opportunity to work with many people, all with unique personalities, different temperaments, and specific needs. These needs required much one-on-one contact and the development of lasting relationships. I have excellent skills in meeting people's needs and being in charge of paperwork and medication administration. Moreover, I gain a lot of experience taking care of people suffering from diabetes, COPD, Alzheimer, Dementia, Parkinson, heart disease, and arthritis. I was often left in charge of taking care of all the residents because the owners could rely on me. It was through this type of work that I realized that my people-oriented personality and interests remain consistent with a profession in health care. From my research, my experience, and other mentors in this medical field, I have found that the most important careers are those where I can invest in people's health. I became a License Practical Nurse because was the career that brought me in close proximity to many people, fitted my people-oriented, detail-driven personality, and allowed me to work with people in whose lives I could make a difference. I worked as an LPN at Mirabella Retirement Center in different departments (Assisted Living, Home Care, Skilled unit) for more than 5 years and I enjoyed giving high-quality care to the patients that I cared for. I had the desire to grow and expand my knowledge in the medical field and in 2019 I graduated from Mt. Hood Community College with an associate degree in nursing. In June 2021 I graduated with a bachelor's degree from Oregon Health and Science University. Since becoming an RN I have been working in skilled nursing facilities and I continue to have the desire to grow my knowledge and skills.
