I go above and beyond for my clients and I treat them the way I would treat my mom or grandma. I treat all my clients with dignity and respect. I enjoy helping people who cant help themselves. My achievements are having my children become wondering human beings who work hard for everything they have

Surprisingly enough, in caring for my mom and pastor's mom the last 18 months of their lives, I found I'm very patient with the elderly. Both women had dementia as well. Doing crafts or something creatively "fun" was enjoyable. There is SOO much need for the elderly! My heart goes out to them, especially those who don't have family or their family lives far away. I'm an extrovert who loves to laugh. It's important to find the humor in life. It's also important to help the person retain their dignity, especially if incontinent, which can be humiliating to the patient. After caring for both women, they both died within 3 months of each other. I had quit my job to care for my mom full time and home health was an easy segue back into working full time. I enjoy getting to know new people and hearing their "story" as everyone has a story. I play the piano and saxophone, and my patients always lived hearing one or the other. I'm pretty laid back and easy going.

What attracted me to CareLinx was the opportunity to make a difference in someone else's life regularly. The opportunity to combine my experience, knowledge, and interests into one career so I can help other people during a part of life that can feel overwhelming. I worked in Healthcare settings for over 7 year's combine, spectrum Ludington Hospital and Tendercare retirement home. My primary role environmental services, housekeeping. However, I am friendly, have a keen observation skill, listen, learned simply thing's like how to help transfer a person safely, how to follow directions about mobility, and how to assist with toiletting. All of these skills I picked up made it helpful to relieve my Grandpa or my Aunt to stop for breaks in handy when I learned about hospice care for two of my Grandma's. I am comfortable with dementia, altimmers, Parkinson, MS, degenerative conditions, mental illness. I have been in hospitality for over 20 years whether its food service as server in my twenties. Or the last 6 plus year's of my mid and late thirties as I worked my way up the ladder into the Executive Housekeeping Manager position for a corporation. Although it was a wonderful experience that allowed me to grow into the Assistant General Manager Position and taught me how to efficiently run a business, oversee daily operations of staff while taking inventory and documentation of stock to place orders. I know HiPPA, how to maintain dignity and privacy. Also, I have my own PPE for working in a client's home. I am vaccinated and I know the standard for cleanliness when handling C-diff, Hep C, shingles, and some other infectious diseases. My goal is to finish all my online training through CareLinx to help provide you the nest possible service. I then intended to get CPR certified and look into as much training as I can to provide yourself or your loved one the most safe, kind, relaxed, and comfortable care service imaginable.

My communication skills are excellent even in a non-communicative environment. My passion is elderly and disabled, whether that be mentally or physically. Everyone deserves a fair chance at a good life and I want to help others succeed. I am a very hardworking person as I also have the desire to provide thoroughly for my family as well. I find that elderly and disabled persons flock to me as they feel safe in my presence and know that that isn't always the case for them.
