I was 14 attending a walk-a-thon for breast cancer survivors at my county fairgrounds. My step mom took me by surprise when she handed me a yellow ribbon that said, "CareNurse" and asked me to walk with her. I felt honored, my actions were recognized and my heart filled with love. Knowing thats the reward for being a caregiver encourages me to be a great caregiver. I've learned over the years mindfulness skills play a huge role in my emotional health being able to provide the best care. I have a wide range of experience in caregiving. My actions are seen as genuine, I've learned to communicate assertively and lead my interactions with people with empathy. I'm proud of who I am and the value system I have in place.

I have gone to school to be a Trained Medication Aide and also a Medical Assistant, but came back to do care giving because I love and appreciate the care giving job because I meet one on one with different people for the longest of time than the other jobs.
