I feel that being a caregiver is a wonderful opportunity. It enable someone to stay in their own home for as long a possible. This is the greatest gift you can give. Over the past 10 years I have been a caregiver for several family members. I enjoy being with them making them laugh while doing daily task. I believe laughter is a very good medicine. I enjoy spending time getting to know them. By listening to the stories of their past experiences, I get an idea of what their likes and dislikes are. I try to plan things they would enjoy doing. I enjoy art, photography, magic, clowning, cooking, and bird watching. That wasn't a typo I'm a professional clown. I began clowning 20 yrs. ago as a way to reach children in my Sunday school class. I'm a Christian clown I perform for church Rally Day's, V.B.S., Sunday School events. Along with the usual birthday, company picnics, festivals. I enjoy bringing a little joy and laughter into someones life. I know there's an appropriate time and place and I'm respectful of that.
