What makes me a great Caregiver is I truly care about my clients and will do whatever it takes to make their day or help them. I also listen and pay attention to my clients so they know they're important and cared for. What attracted me to being a caregiver is knowing the difference I can make in someone's day. I pretty much lived with my grandma and grandpa when my grandmother got sick and couldn't do the everyday things she used to be able to do. I helped get her out if bed every morning, helped her get herself cleaned up in the morning and dressed. I helped her get on and off the toilet and eventually helped with a bed pan. I made meals for her, cleaned the house, did the laundry, dishes, trash,swept and mopped along with whatever cleaning needed to be done. I ran to the store for them and sometimes took my grandpa in the middle of the night because he couldn't sleep and was upset. I enjoyed being able to help her the way that i could and be there for her. I would do it over and over again if given the chance.
