Old people are my favorites. I somehow connect with them more easily than anyone else. (Not kidding...weird right?) I have professional and years of non professional experience as a geriatric caregiver. I helped both of my grandmothers through the end of their lives. My dad's mom passed at 96 in 2011 and my moms mom passed last Christmas 2017. My professional experience working as a CNA at a nursing home for 6 months was important and amazing but too much work for anyone I know, really. I learned so much and made the deepest of connections with people that no one else seemed to talk to or listen to. I got my CNA certification in high school from a 2 year vocational class so I'm likely more knowledgeable than the average Nurse Aide as this class lasted 2 hours per day for 2 years. (They want me to pay $40 to do the background check)
