I became a caregiver to provide myself with a foundation to be a nurse. I achieved my CNA and nursing certificate in psychiatric nursing specialty, with pharmacology. I went on to care for HIV /Aids patients and hospice. I have a wonderful calming and caring effect on people and have worked many outstanding cases. I was planning to get my PhD in psychology for psychologist, but I stuck with nursing as I loved it very much. I have worked from NY to San Diego and have been with one company for 20+ years. I went back to school for my BA in education, as I teach special education as well. I am always updating my psychiatric background and love learning. I have many wonderful success stories, including my patient who I was with for 4 years, as his private nurse, care manager and trainer for his caregivers. I work well independently and have great skills. I love to write and my English/Education background has helped me get published. I still write and plan to publish more work. I presently am a music reviewer and article writer for different publications. I am very diversified in skills, education and interests, but I am above all a people person who is dependable, professional, well skilled and well liked.
