I then went to work at Home Instead Senior Care . I got plenty of experience and really enjoyed what I was doing so I decided to go to work directly for private families. I worked in a long term care facility with this client. My job was to keep him company,call for assistance if needed, to change condom Cath, to get his meds from med tech,groom him,dress him,feed him,get him dressed. Call for assistance to get him into hoyer lift and then to wheelchair for breakfast. Feed him and then go for a walk with wheelchair. As his condition declined we stayed in room for most meals and watched his favorite shows. Groomed him,shaved beard,brush teeth. Call for sit and stand to use restroom. Keep his spirits UP !
