I became a caregiver because I love people and I love helping people. As a devout Christian, I believe in following the bible's teachings to honor the elders. Plus I LOVE to hear the stories from their past! I have a ministry in my church that reaches out to the older ladies to help them fellowship and make sure they aren't lonely. That time is precious to me. Financial times being as they are, when I needed to earn money to help my household's ends meet, I knew that caring for people needed to be my career.

I keep the master nursery schedule on an excel spreadsheet. Coordinating with fellow coordinators to keep this list accurate. I recruit new care givers, conduct interviews, call references on applications and coordinate with church staff to complete background checks. Attend monthly nursery meetings where I help in making decisions as to nursery security, safety and general operations. I work at the desk checking in and checking out children. Help find substitute care givers when people are out sick. As well as work as a care giver myself.

Taking care of a disabled couple and their elderly mother. I have done everything imaginable. From taking care of grocery shopping to doctor’s visits, administering meds, bathing, lifting, dishes, painting, lawn care, installing insulation in attic, caring for their three cats including giving medicine, dishes, home organization/decluttering, helping dress, preparing meals, and watering plants. The couple no longer requires the same intensity of my services. I will still be helping them in my free time on a volunteer basis.

Assisting paramedics on scene and in the ambulance. Helping with fund raisers. Assisting in keeping life flight landing zone clear and safe during landings. Traffic control, crowd control.
