I was the primary caregiver for an elderly woman for over 4 years with duties that included: Assisting client up and out of bed, showering/bathing, personal hygiene and dressing, medication reminders, blood pressure and glucose monitoring, meal prep, housekeeping, as well as scheduling and organization. I aided client with all ADL's such as transporting client to and from appointments, shopping, and outings for her to have some fun like craft classes, bingo and other Senior Center activities. I so enjoyed helping my client to remain involved in all of the hobbies that she loved such as flowers and gardening, sewing, reading and library events, puzzles, and being outdoors which improved her overall sense of well-being and kept her smiling! With my assistance she was able to keep her beloved pet and I also accompanied her on trips and vacations as well as being entrusted to handle paperwork and bill paying until she had to unfortunately enter a hospice care facility.
