I raised a very large family my children are all adults and I am now a widow I have been active in my church charitable programs fund raisers and am a faith formation teacher for over 40 years my life has consisted of care giver, I experienced first my sisters n brother in law special needs and cared in a hospice like conditions then in 2006 my oldest son was a diabetic and went into a brain coma we were told he could not recover I nursed him at home for a good part of his condition before his death. Also I brought my 72 year old brother with Parkinson's and cared for him for 3 year till he moved to one of my other sisters,also had the privilege when I was a para profesional for our local high school special Ed for almost three years

I'm Alyssa Gates I'm 24 years old. I've always favorited older people. They are so sweet and need all the help they can get. I have my associates in science degree I graduated from Jacksonville college. I'm very happy and outgoing, takes a lot to ruin my day or get me in a bad mood. I always look at the bright side of things in life. I enjoy being a caregiver because I've been one before and I love being able to help and do what they can't.

I will be a great caregiver because I love working with the elderly I love meeting new people I love doing as asked I love socializing with the elderly and even their families.what attracted me to being a caregiver was because I have experienced taking care of my grandmother who had passed away and I have experience taking care of other clients I love working with the elderly due to the fact that I love helping I love being a helper. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is that I not only get to bring a smile to the client's face but I also am there to talk to the client I am open with them to let them know that they could talk to me about anything and what I am told I keep it to myself I do not share it with anybody else. My personal achievement that I am very proud of is that I am a genuine lady who loves helping the community and who loves helping the elderly people I love to spread my care and my compassion for the elderly to the client that I have I love making my clients smile I love walking out with a smile when you make your client smile that means that you are doing something right!

I grew up under the wing of a great South African occupational therapist. Homehealth was her passion. Through the years I learned so much from my mother. With guidance and strength we can cure our body and mind. I believe in a healthy holistic lifestyle. We are what we eat. I'm a certified Yoga teacher. I continue my studies about the human body and ways to heal and have less stress. Mindfulness is key. Yoga teach us to have self-control and self-discipline. Be kind to others, love each other deeply, be humble, trustworthy and have cleanliness. To be still and breathe. I love to serve and help our precious elderly in the golden age on their spiritual journey to their next life. I enjoy their friendship, wisdom and company.
