I am 49 years old and have been in the restaurant business for 30 years. I am married and have 2 kids that are grown and out of the house. I have always had a passion for being a caregiver. I am at the point in my life to pursue a new career. I was the caregiver for my father when he had throat cancer. I am currently the caregiver for a lovely women who has had open heart surgery. I love the one on one and comfort of taking care of someone in their own home. I think it's important for the patient and the family members to be in the surroundings that they are familiar with. I find it very gratifying to know that I can help take care of someone in need. I know how stressful it can be for the family. So to be able to help everyone feel better knowing that their loved is being cared for by someone that has gone through a similar situation can be comforting.
