I've been doing this type of career for 28 years and love what I do I also would love to go get my LPN to further my career this fall 2023 then I'll be able to do more an help out more with my clients, then I can now, I wouldn't change my career for anything it what I've wanted to do my whole life and it runs in my family, and I intend to do for rest of my working life, it not a job to me it a career and it like taking care of my own family and love ones, my clients mean everything to me, I'm there for my clients to help them feel safe and comfortable with there ADL and being home, I am proud to have been in my career for over 28 years, an Im proud to add many more years to it, and have my LPN this year 2023, I also have both of my covid-19 shots so I am good to go with the covid-19, I also work with all types of care,

Hello, I'm Jennafer. I previously worked for a VA Medical Center as a nurses aid. I loved my job, unfortunately I moved and it was too far in distance. I am CPR certified, and have experience with most common elderly illnesses and diseases. I worked with a lot of patients suffering from either dementia, Alzheimer's, diabetes, urinary, respiratory, cardiopulmonary, restorative, and more. I absolutely enjoy making people happy and being part of people's lives, which is one reason I believe makes me great at care giving. I love to talk and companionship is a big plus for me in the healthcare field. I am very compassionate about the care I provide and I enjoy the friendships I get to make. I am always looking for ways and opportunities to better my skills and care. Just for a little extra info, I do speak some spanish, however not too fluent; I also play several musical instruments in which I got to share music with some of the residents I cared for. We love camping, the lake, watching movies, rollercoaster, playing golf, snowboarding and being with our family. I grew up in Florida and yes I still have my twang. I got into caregiving by happen stance. My dear friend, Chris, was in an accident. He suffers from a Traumatic Brain Injury. I love taking care for and helping people. It's good for my soul.

I'm a very compassionate person with a big heart, I love all people and love being around people. What attracted me to being a caregiver is when I took care of my grandma after she broke her neck. She needed me the most and I was there. I enjoy making people smile, and laugh and being there for people in their time of need! My personal achievement is when I learned how to help my grandmother change her IV medicine ball! I was able to help her so much more when I finally learned how to do it.

I am currently a House Manager at a community for adults with special needs, managing all aspects of a home for two residents and two live-in coworkers, including personal care, cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping, scheduling, and basic home maintenance. I also provide weekly Reiki treatments for some of our residents. I love what I do and have been told by the families of my residents that their loved ones are thriving under my care.
