My personality traits that helps me to be a great caregiver is that I am a very compassionate person, I'm very empathetic, I'm patient, I'm loving, I'm kind, I'm caring and most of all I care for my clients from my heart. Years ago I had the opportunity of caring for my child who was born with a rare generic disorder that causes me to work closely alongside nurses and doctors. As I watched them cared for my son, I learned and developed a lot of skills associated with his care. I became very involved and from there I developed a different type of personality traits and expertise. After my sons passing I realize that I could make a difference in someone else's life and I choose Geriatric because I felt pediatric would be a little bit difficult for me to handle. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is that I am able to help someone who cannot help themselves and to have a positive look at life each and every day that I'm caring for them. My personal achievement that I'm proud of is that my clients are very happy to have me as their caregiver.
