My first reason for wanting to be a caregiver is that I have been a caregiver most of my life. I started working as a CNA at a nursing home in North Jersey, I was seventeen years old, I worked there for 12 years, I am now 51 years old, and, of course, my certification has long ago expired, but that doesn't make me any less experienced. I love caring for people, it gives me inner joy that is so hard to explain, well, for example,: when you give your small child a bath, or if they are coming out of a pool of cold water, I love to wrap a warm towel around them so they get warm right away. Making people comfortable is my goal, it makes me happy.
