She is the reason I chose to give back and assist families in need of a companion. My mother was diagnosed with cancer at an early age and she fought the battle for nearly 15 years and never gave us a reason to feel one day she'd be gone. She taught me everything I know about listening and being supportive when my grandmother needed us the most.
