She is the reason I chose to give back and assist families in need of a companion. My mother was diagnosed with cancer at an early age and she fought the battle for nearly 15 years and never gave us a reason to feel one day she'd be gone. She taught me everything I know about listening and being supportive when my grandmother needed us the most. In my younger years I began waking up extra early to help my mother with cooking, cleaning and assisting my grandmother in grooming and preparing her favorite oatmeal and watching her favorite shows.
