I grew up around adults working in Nursing or caregiving. I have been a caregiver for 20 years. I understand to treat everyone with dignity and respect. I Love being able to help others. I Love brightening someones day. I'm A Certified Nursing Assistant with Red Cross First Aid certification as well . FIRST I'm a companion and I respect my patients and would like to help and make things easier (with feedback), I'm also nice, kind hearted and patient. I'm very alert when giving care. I can check vitals ( pulse, respiration, and oxygen levels with an oximeter), I'm familiar with wheelchairs (different kinds), I can use a hoyer lift (properly), I've worked with blind clients and have worked with stroke patients, I've worked with Dementia and Alzheimer's patients. I understand what is required as far as acting out what being remembered by the client, sometimes that's best. I'm very detailed oriented with my work. I like doing things the correct way and if there is something I dont know, I ask . I like communication to be ongoing with client/client's family , so there is no misunderstanding, with that being said, having a daily log for the activities or what was done by me or what is expected of me . I also do light household chores. Walk dogs/little friends. I do more than a job... I CARE
