I am 26 years old, I have a great deal of experience being a caregiver. All of my jobs but one have been in a healthcare setting. I became my grandfather's caregiver back in 2015. He had Parkinson's, cancer, and agent orange. I worked as a medical receptionist taking vitals, and maintaining confidential patient tech information. I worked as a nursing assistant at the silver city care center for a while. I love being a caregiver. I am patient, adaptive, and a creative out of the box thinker. I want to be a nurse. Im taking online classes right now. I am fluent in Spanish and moderate in American Sign Language.

I have several years experience in home health/care giving. My momma was a quadriplegic for 13 1/2 years before her passing. I assisted in caring for her the entire time. I have always enjoyed visiting with elderly people and like working with them in general. I love to hear their stories. I am capable and understanding. I like to laugh and make others laugh. I enjoy life. I am compassionate and sympathetic. The aspect I enjoy most about care giving is listening to my clients tell their life stories. A personal achievement I'm proud of but giving glory to God, is that I graduated my oldest son and oldest daughter from homeschool and he's in the Air Force and my daughter is at WNMU working towards her nursing degree.

I was born and raised in El Paso and brought up in a bilingual home by my mother who I always saw as the most empowering and courageous individual. She is the reason I chose to give back and assist families in need of a companion. My mother was diagnosed with cancer at an early age and she fought the battle for nearly 15 years and never gave us a reason to feel one day she'd be gone. She taught me everything I know about listening and being supportive when my grandmother needed us the most. In my younger years I began waking up extra early to help my mother with cooking, cleaning and assisting my grandmother in grooming and preparing her favorite oatmeal and watching her favorite shows. Throughout the years I've been grateful to have been able to obtain all of the skills these two women taught me and above all the ability to apply them in my own daily life and with families in need .

I became a caregiver when my grandmother became sick. I really enjoy being able to care for others that are incapable of caring for them selves. I am very proud of having the knowledge of dealing with different mental behaviors such as Alzheimer , and having an understanding how to appropriately care for people with this sickness. I am a caring individual whom has respect for old and young . Thank you

I'm a caregiver because I love people. I give the care to the client that I would want if I was the client. It's such a great feeling when the client does or changes they way they respond to life and their surroundings in general. When they heal and improve under your care is the best badge I can receive. I don't have more than 2 or 3 clients at one time because I want to give the 2 or 3 100% of my abilities & attention.
