Being a caregiver is something I've always wanted to do but I really experienced the joy of it when I started a part time position years ago at a residence for individuals with developmental disabilities. I've also recently assisted in taking care of my grandmother who has cancer and recently undergone an leg amputation. I assisted her with getting dressed, using facilities and meal preparation. I love seeing the joy on someone's face when they are doing something they enjoy. I like making people happy and helping in any way I can. I feel more productive when I'm physically doing something vs sitting behind a desk all day.
