I became a caregiver, because I like to be of service. I have an AA degree in Mental Health and Human Services, and have worked in the field for over 25 years. I started out working Direct care and then went on to provide staff training on how best to serve a variety of individuals. What I love about care-giving is that I am able to use my skills on a one on one bases to improve the quality of life for the customer. One of the things that I am most proud of is that I had a client that everyone told me that she was unable to do anything to help herself, such as eating bathing and communicating her needs. When I worked with her in 6 moths she was able to feed herself and she was able to communicate her needs to me as well as others. Love, respect and honor moves mountains. I have years of experience in the service field and I am an excellent communicator and love to support each individual in living a life of joy and love.

Served Human service agencies in the Philadelphia area. Providing training and staff development for all levels of the organization. Acted as consultants, and provided services as requested by the provider agency. Provided direct care services to a variety of individuals. Some of the clients that I served were developmentally disable and others where mentally ill. I am responsible for ensuring the quality of life for all clients by assuring that their daily living needs where met. Ensuring that they were bathed, clean, respected and maintained their sense of dignity though out my service to them. Compassionate caring is the key.
