I began this journey at the age of 15 when my grandmother got sick. She was bedridden, diabetic and unable to move from the bed. I learned how to manage her insulin levels while my parents were at work and bathe from there. As i got older i wanted more. I wanted to help more people so i applied to home care agencies. I work for a few and i learned A LOT! I had clients that ranged from just needing a companion to clients on hospice and just needing someone to hold their hands. The thing that attracted me to being a caregiver was just wanting to help. I want to do what i would want done for my parents if they ever need someone to help them. The thing i enjoy most are the stories. The back story of how they got to where they are now and who they are! I'm most proud of the smiles I've put on my clients faces. Silly, i know but it's true.
