I worked as a caregiver for the elderly in the comfort of there home. I assisted people needing everything from full care 24hrs a day, to someone who simply needed a little help around the house and/or someone to visit with on a regular basis or stop in jic they needed help with anything. Some of my clients went on to hospice care, in which I attended to there needs as a familiar and compassionate caretaker, operating under the detailed instructions of there physician to insure there needs and comfort were well taken care of until the end.

When I worked in retail, it always bothered me to think about the fact that really, if I wasn't there, no one would be terribly effected. The toy aisle might be a little more messy, but that's about it. That caused very low job satisfaction. As a CNA, even when a day is stressful, it helps to know that your patients need you and that your presence makes a big difference in their day.
