I am a mature and caring person who has always had a desire to help people. I've worked in the fitness industry for 8 years because I enjoyed helping people get stronger, meet their fitness goals, and transform their bodies. I also worked in New Jersey as a Licensed Massage Therapist for 10 years and specialized in Orthopedic Massage to help people live a pain free life. Knowing that I was able to help people live a "normal" life with minimum pain always warmed my heart and made the long hours worth it. I eventually knew I desired to do more to help the world and decided to return to school to become a nurse practitioner. I have finished all my pre-requisites and am currently applying to various nursing programs. I have been told that I am kind, caring, and genuine. I'm very laid back and serious, but I am also very out-going and funny. I'm best described as an introverted extrovert. I know when to be serious and when to be silly. My goal and focus as a caregiver is the quality of life of my patient. They are my everything and I will do all in my power to make them happy and keep them comfortable. I love working with the disabled and seniors. A lot of people in society tend to brush them off, but I absolutely love hearing stories from seniors about their life and what the world was like when they were younger. I've also had a few disabled classmates and clients that were so enjoyable to hangout with and it breaks my heart when people can't see the person behind the disability. To sum up why I entered this industry, I once tried to join the Navy Reserve and when asked why, my honest and genuine response was, "I just want to help and make a difference in the world and in people's lives".
