I then moved to Houston to care for my Mother in law who was diagnosed with stomach cancer i also provided total care for her on hospice.. Being a caregiver actually fills a part of my life i don't have any more my grand mother.. I really enjoy my job as a caregiver.. I try to provide the best care possible and treat all my patients with respect and tender loving care as i would want my family to be treated ..I have worked in and out of hospitals nursing homes and rehabilitation centers..I can work live in or out am pm evenings and over nights, respite care. dementia, Alzheimer, an ADL's, memory loss, medication, peg tube, companionship, Colostomy, wound care, light house cleaning, meal prep. hands on care . 15 years ago I was in desperate need of a caregiver for my mother. It was very difficult to find an honest, caring, trustworthy person to care for her. I went through several different caregivers, including a family friend that didn't work out for the job. I ended up quitting my job and caring for her till she died 9 years later. At this point in my life I want to be able to help someone that needs special care because I know the negative impact it can take on the entire family when the care of a loved one is not being met. I think the sick and elderly are at our mercy to care for them.
