About Sara

I'm a caregiver and healer by nature! I love to bake, read, take walks/hike, and play games. I'm a habitual student--I love to learn! My medical background gives me an excellent knowledge base (medical assistant & occupational therapy assistant), but my experience and genuine compassion are my biggest assets. I have worked with a wide variety of ages with an equally wide variety of physical/social/mental health needs, including special needs children as a school health aid, OTA at a skilled nursing/long term acute care hospital, medical assistant, co-led a divorce care group at my church, internship at Arapaho Co. Mental Health, and provided my grandmother (advanced Alzheimer's Disease & stroke) with a loving and caring home for 5 years. I have also been by my mom's side during her breast cancer treatment (never missed a chemo!). Please note that my services do not include occupational therapy treatment/services, but having this education and experience is immensely helpful in helping your loved one stay safe while in my care. I understand how difficult finding a reliable, competent, and compassionate caregiver can be, and I know the struggles and stresses of caring for a family member! But the reward of knowing that I made an impact in someone's life is my greatest reward. I want to make sure the care for them is more important and the importance of their personal hygiene the care for their activities for light exercises and the hours for when they have eaten or not is very important before helping them with other things such as light housekeeping. The concern for the client's health is more important than anything else.
