About Sheila

I became a Caregiver for my parents when they were elderly. And it took off from there. It seems like when I have completed one job, another opens. I solely do this on my own with no agency. I am at the point where I DO need job opportunities. Caregiving gives me the feeling and KNOWING that I am helping someone that NEEDS someone there for them. They appreciate that person. My personal achievement that I am most proud of is that I was in the US Navy. I live in Pacific Beach. At this time I am unemployed yet available to start work immediately. In the past I took care of my parents that were restricted to their home. My Mom had cancer, back surgery and a heart attack and was bedridden. My Dad had COPD, emphysema. He was on oxygen 24/7 and was unable to care for himself as well. Along with managing their meds, helping them exercise, etc I did all of the cooking and cleaning. I took care of a personal friend that is in a wheelchair. Basically the same procedure in taking care of her as I did for my parents. Also helped with her physical therapy.

Took care of their four children age ranging from 5-10. Started for their Spring break thru the summer. Made sure breakfast was served and the kids ready for school. While kids were in school I would clean house and do laundry. After school I would assist in homework as well as prepare evening meal. During the summer I would do as above yet have activities for them to do during the day. Picnics, ball games as well as study/reading time. I would have them in the kitchen with me at times to teach them the fun of cooking as well as responsibilities. They had chores to do in that area as well.

Prepared meals for her, etc. Also prepared evening meal prior to Ms. Clark arriving home. When Morgan started school I would prepare her clothes and get her to the bus. After school I would help her with her homework and prepare evening meals. Also during the day I did housecleaning and all laundry as needed.
