I am an energetic, reliable and compassionate registered nurse who is devoted to caring for others. I have 6 years of nursing experience; 4 years as a LPN and 2 years as a RN. I acquired my experience in a fast-paced hospital setting on a medical surgical floor and I am now avid in shifting my nursing practice to a private duty care giver. My interest in nursing began as a young girl after a personal family experience with a close loved one. Through my high school years, I was given the opportunity to explore the health care field more in depth by shadowing various jobs. I found nursing to be the most appealing because of its diversity and constant advances in medical trends that give plenty of opportunities to build a strong foundation of nursing skills and wide range of experiences. Through dedication and the use of medical advances, my medical expertise and skill sets, I work diligently to provide safe compassionate quality care. I have a strong passion for caring for others and take pride in what I do. I enjoy building trusting relationships with clients and their families and believe communication is the key ingredient. I have been a care giver for many years but this year is special because I received my Home Health Aid certification. I really love being a home health aid, it is a meaningful and fulfilling job! I appreciate learning new things which is why I know how to check insulin levels, administer insulin shots and perform wound care, since these skills aren't in a home health aides scope of practice. I always continue my education because we never stop learning new things! :)
