Years ago when I first entered the work force I was lucky enough to get a position as wait staff in a Memory Care facility. It was then that I first discovered my passion of caring for the elderly, specifically those with memory and physical impairments as a result of Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia. I have spent most of my working years in this line of healthcare, serving individuals either in their personal home or in a nursing home setting. I have gained so much experience and education in memory care and pride myself on my ability to give my all to each patient. I have enjoyed taking care of others immensely and have found that it's what makes me the happiest. A person's later years can be confusing, scary, emotional and overwhelming but I have learned the tools to make each day meaningful and the very best it can be. I am often amazed at how lucky I feel to be caring for such amazing people, as every one I have ever cared for has had a wonderful life story. I am serving a person and enriching their life, not simply working a job and collecting a paycheck. I am currently attending classes at Cayuga Community College in pursuit of an RN degree and therefore am only available for part-time hours. I look forward to meeting a family who's needs match what I can offer and getting to work serving you and your loved one!
