I started working as a Direct Support Professional for my current company Nov 2018. I was quickly moved up to senior direct support professional and given more responsibilities with over seeing staff in my managers absence along with providing services for the 4 individuals in the home. In April of 2019 I recieved a promotion to management where I not only worked closely with the individuals but also overseeing many full and part time staff. I enjoy working as a caregiver because of what I take from the experience of helping others who are unable to help themselves. I enjoy encouraging them and watching them succeed at the tasks they are performing. Every success for someone I am working with is also a success for myself. It means I am doing the job I was hired for and providing them the confidence and support they need to continue growing and becoming stronger.
