I am a caring, empathetic person who loves to help others. I started my caregiving journey at the age of 14. My brother unfortunately became a quadriplegic his sophomore in college. I then worked as a CNA for 3 years. Now I am a Direct Support Professional (DSP), which Is a person that provides care for people with developmental disabilities. What I love most about being a caregiver is knowing I've made a difference in someone's life.

A good Personal Care Assistant is a compassionate, supportive and well-rounded individual. Maintaining reliability and organization is also vital. These traits are imperative to provide the necessary support and comfort to recovering, disabled or frail clients.

Hello! My name is Brittany and I've been a CNA for 7 years now. I have experience in hospitals, long term care, home care, and travel healthcare. I have a passion for people. I love making people laugh and spending time with them. I love care giving because it gives me a sense of achievement when I've made the persons day and knowing that I'm able to help them in any ways I can. I enjoy meeting new people and learning new things about them and using those learned things to use in the plan of care. I always strive for excellence in anything that I do. My name is Tosha, and I have been an LPN for almost 10 years. As a nurse, some of my personality traits that help me excel in this role are empathy, patience, and attentiveness. I genuinely care about others and enjoy providing support to those in need. What attracted me to being a nurse was the opportunity to make a positive impact on someone's life. Being able to help others and provide them with comfort and care brings me a sense of fulfillment and purpose. One of the things I enjoy most about being a nurse is the meaningful connections I form with the individuals I care for. Building trust and being there for them during challenging times is incredibly rewarding. As for a personal achievement I'm proud of, I once helped a patient regain their independence after a serious injury. It took a lot of dedication and hard work, but seeing them regain their confidence and achieve their goals was truly gratifying.

Hi I have been in the health care field since 2009. I started as a Resident care assistant then CNA and now a Medical assistant. I am a caring and understanding person and would treat you family member as if they were My own.

I am at my best when helping other people. I receive a lot of joy out of knowing that my presence and care is needed and helpful. I can be quite bubbly. I love to laugh, and enjoy making other people laugh as well. I enjoy listening and getting to know people. I like to understand people by getting to know them through their personal stories and life experiences. I'm always willing and able to learn. I wanted to be a caregiver after working at Elderwood for a few months. I realized how much I care for the residents and how much their well being means to me. And it was made clear to me that I couldn't spend as much time with them as I wanted to if I was continuing as a dietary aide. I've been told by my other employees that I'm very good with the residents and know how to be patient and kind even when they are lashing out at me. I've never been a caregiver, but I think I would most enjoy their company, even though it is my job to keep the client company. I feel like people these days have forgotten how important it is to sit down and listen. To learn from a past generation who grew up very differently than we did. And I know our generation could benefit greatly from listening to our elders, especially those who feel they don't have a voice or feel forgotten. Helping other people humbles me. It reminds me of how small my problems are and it distracts me from the self-centered attitude that tends to latch on.

I am in the Medical Program through Olean CTE Boces. I love to help people. I am a senior in highschool right now soon to graduate. In the mid of July I will be leaving for basic trainjng for the United States Air Force. Hopefully later on I will pursue a career in Neurology.
