I have worked in the health care field for 15 years. I started off working with the elderly in nursing homes. Over the years I have gained wonderful experience caregiving in different places. I've worked with the developmentally disabled from young to elderly. I have experience working with Alzheimer's and dementia in nursing facilities as well as psychiatric units. I have worked in every unit at my local hospital. I have experience in trauma and emergency room care as well as long term care and even comfort care. I have a lot of experience in psych and state homes as a contract employee. I am very comfortable and experienced with cooking, cleaning, bathing, passing meds, toileting, etc. I can be the listener a client needs when they just need someone there to talk to and I can also be the friend they need for advice and comfort. I have a very high level of compassion for my field, the patients and their families. I am very organized and reliable. I am always able to perform all tasks and I understand how to balance the needs of the patient with the needs of the organization.
