For the past 9 years I was a Personal Caregiver for a 98 year old elderly woman with errands, paperwork, Dr. appointments,and grocery shopping. I also helped an elderly man in his 80's with Parkinson's for 1 1/2 years. During that time I was responsible for medication management, wound care, bathing, personal grooming, dressing, meal prep, feeding if needed, house cleaning, and laundry. I know that I did the best that I can in helping them. A personal achievement that I really proud of as a caregiver is helping a little girl with cerebral palsy walk. I work with her for about a year, everyday we tackle small milestones until she walk. She still need some assistance but the most impaortant things is that she can do it on her own with her walker.
