I am a great caregiver because I truly love and care about my patients, I enjoy spending time with them and getting to know their lives and stories and personalities. I became a caregiver after I had started working in a long term care facility doing activity work. I saw the nursing assistant loved and cared for their patients and I wanted to do that too. I've been a caregiver for 7yrs, the most rewarding part about this job is the relationships you develop with the clients you care for. The clients I've worked with over the years have taught me helped me to develop more patience, compassion and being more openminded. This feild of work is rewarding in so many ways besides making good money. You develop and posses a lot of good characteristics traits and long lasting relationships and a friendship with some of the clients you work with. In the end its well worth it.
