I have a kind way about myself I guess you can say. I am considered the go to aide, if a resident is upset and needs an understanding ear to listen to them. A lot of times my residents feel like they control nothing in their lives anymore, and I try to help them still feel important with a purpose. I let them do for themselves what they can, and help them with things they need help with. Almost my whole life I wanted to takes care of people in some way shape or form. My Grandma used to call me her little nurse for the age of around 5. I loved helping her and taking care of her. Now when I take care of people, I remember my Grandma calling me her little nurse, and it makes me very happy. I truly love helping elderly people. They helped raise us all, and take care us. Now its my turn, to help them and take care of them if they need the help

I am responsible for waking up my residents, and helping them get ready for their day. I dress, bathe, and help them to meals. Those that need help eating, I assist them by feeding them if needed. I help them with their bathroom tasks also making sure they are dry and clean. Sometimes I also go with them to their appointments.
