I love home care and being independent. I hope to find the fit I most deserve and also desire ; but so do you . I do specialize in the brain and the function so I've worked with a ton of dementia . Stroke , and brain injured clients . However ; I am well rounded and a self starter . I have many certificates to back up my experiment and education. I am also a certified Medical Assistant so I feel I stand out because I am legally able to preform more duties and I have done just about anything including emergency rooms . I do have to say home care has now become my passion and I'm dedicated and driven , I enjoy making a difference and not only saving lives but providing comfort Care in their last days . I have 20 years experience . I have a wide range of professional experience including hospitals and more . I do prefer dementia patients because I specialize in this field however open to your needs . I am very knowledgeable yet I also have a great sense of humor and respect that isn't found in this world anymore . I am dependable , I do not call off and I am willing to work any hours given at this time prefer 12 hour shifts or overnights however I am open . I gave great care to hundreds of clients by performing daily on schedule runs/visits ex: blood draws, lab , checking glucose by sticking their finger and reading results and if they were higher than possibly giving meds to help them out of a hyper or hypo diabetic phase . I did this by administration of meds or injection . Wound care , Med regulation , stroke rehab , using hoyer in some of these situations in order to help families transition after an accident . Patient passed away in August of this year . I worked for the family as a caregiver . Although I do have an education in medical Assistant/ certified Va /and more. Therefore I am allowed to pass meds , wound care , check glucose , give injections ect . I worked 48 hours straight over night position and more if needed in the home . I was a lead manager of 3 other employees. I do enjoy the block or longer hours as such . I also preformed any duties needed by the family such as cleaning , bathing , giving breathing treatments and documenting. I love working with the elderly . I have an amazing touch and bedside manner with dementia . I talk to them and treat them with the upmost respect .

I came in and got to help this person and care for them helped with motaviating this person to start exercising and then we started taking small steps, thru out my years of caregiving with this person. I was able to help get this person out of the chair and to start walking again. It made me feel so good to see smiles from my client and the family because of how I dedicated myself to her, I was able to give hope and was able to see my client do somethings on their own. It is definitely a highlight to caregiving.
