My mother and I had moved in with my great grandma my senior year of high school. I balanced school, a full time job and taking care of my grandma. We had partnered up with a couple other women and divided shifts amongst ourselves. After high school, I took up a job with Fresh New Start where I assisted mentally and physically handicapped individuals. I worked in group homes as well as one on one interaction. The ages I worked with ranged from five years old, up to 88 years old. I just wasn't getting the desired amount of hours. I enjoy taking care of others because of the impact I have on these clients. I'm very passionate about caregiving, considering my grandma was my first real 'client'. I have a love for showing others compassion and spreading happiness.
