Hello, my name is Christy I am looking for a few hours on Saturday's, due to working at a school M-F. I am very outgoing and love being a caregiver. I am very observant and pay close attention to detail. I have worked in this field for over 6 years as a supervisor. I first begin this journey and decided this is what I wanted to do when I was 15years old working with my grandfather whom had dementia and was a diabetic. I am happiest when I am helping and caring for others. I enjoy being a caregiver because it gives me the opportunity to help families and people when they need it most. Good quality care is hard to find as I saw being a supervisor for years. The families I have supported has thanked me for showing them how their loved ones should be treated and how wonderful I was with each one. I have had wonderful relationships with all of them and even their professionals. I believe it is important to listen to the needs of the families to better care for the Individual. And also communicating when their loved one is having a good or bad day and overall health and wellness. Staying on the same page helps to accomplish the small goals that lead to big goals. One of my greatest achievements was working with an individual who had behavior issues, whom later calm down to the point the doctor was amazed. Taking time to show people you care can impact their lives for the best.
