About Alexis

I am a great care giver because I am an extremely compassionate individual. Helping other people is my number one priority. I find it essential for a healthy mind to be helping others. I permanently moved here in December from Texas and am missing taking care of people. Before I moved I was heavily involved with taking care of my grandfather before he passed. He was unfortunately bed ridden with multiple physical disabilities as well as advanced Alzheimer's. I became a Caregiver due to taking care of my father at the age of 12 years old. I learned to start and regulate an IV drip and I administered insulin shots to my father. When my father health declined due to complications of Diabetes, my family and I had to place him in a skilled facility. My mother was concerned for my fathers safety and daily care, she asked me to apply for a job in the facility my father would be in. I did get a position at the facility and have been working in nursing every since!!! I like being a Care Provider because it is apart of my spirit and I am very people oriented. My personal achievement is to have been in the field of nursing for 16 years.
