I enjoy caregiving as a profession. I am mindful of the client's safety, ADLs & happy to assist. I enjoy keeping a tidy household, cooking meals and going on outings, walking or driving. Dependability and reliability are important to me. I am patient and flexible. If a care plan is in place I have experience following and guiding the client in a positive manner. I have been a caregiver all my life, with my parents (whom have both transitioned), my grown children & clients. It comes natural for me & I am often taking on line courses to advance my knowledge. Hello all, I am a 35 and expecting my first child in March 2018. I have been a foster parent for 6 years. I've fostered infants, school age children, and teenagers. I am currently engaged to my high school sweetheart whom I've been in a relationship with for over 17 years. I am a very warm hearted and lovable person who often thinks of others before myself. At the age of 8 my mother passed. My father was a musician who played on the road. I lived between my two grandparents home. I helped my grandparents with their daily needs such as transportation to and from appointments and grocery shopping. This attracted me to being a caregiver. I had gained skills from them with medication taking, paying bills, hygiene assistance, daily living, and companionship. I cooked daily and meal prepped. As my grandparents got older and lost most of their mobility and decision making I became the spokesperson for them. I enjoy being a person that someone can count on and call when needed. I am ear to listen and eyes to see. I have an old sole and love when others are happy and full of life. I am proud that I can be someone that someone else can call on when needed. I'm always willing to give and learn more. I became a care provider in 2007. I have worked for a treatment center servings women and their children. Some of my skills iinclude: Attention to personal care, medication administration and monorting, meal prep and showing my client how to cook meals and choose healthier foods, assisted with scheduling appointments and transportation , helped client maintain general household cleaning and laundry.
