My entire career has been about helping people. First as a Licensed Practical nurse and as of late, an elderly caregiver. I have compassion, empathy and a good amount of medical/disease knowledge.

The personality traits I feel help me be an excellent caregiver include being compassionate and kind to each individual and their family members. I want to be a welcome part of the family and bring an element of calm and confidence. I know this can be a stressful time for the person in care and the family so I want to assure them I am always focused on the health and well-being of my clients. I bring a creative and engaging style to my interactions and try to be responsive and flexible to the changing needs and feelings of Seniors in my care. Trust is very important to build so I am reliable, professional and sensitive to privacy issues. I enjoy being a caregiver because I can see the joy I can bring and the positive change I can make in a Senior's life. I am most proud of the deep bonds I form with my clients and their families and the truly positive feelings we share , I am also proud of the long term relationships that develop . With some clients and families, we are approaching three years working together. This is a very enriching life experience for both myself and my clients, who become like family.
