My interests for being a caregiver were sparked by my cousin who is currently a full-time caretaker. He told me about the friendships you develop with the residents and how it feels like you are truly making a difference in the world and I decided that I wanted those close friendships and that feeling as well! Although this would be the first time I would be taking care of our elderly community in the public, I have much experience helping my grandma and grandpa with things like getting groceries for them, helping them with technology, making them dinner, and keeping them company. I am an outgoing, kind-hearted, attentive 18 year old with an old soul that allows me to relate to our seniors so much and truly learn from them, listen to them, provide them company, and attend to any and all of their needs.
