About Sheena

I became a Caregiver/CNA because I love people, I love being of service and believe that every individual deserves to live the best life they can in any situation. I also know from personal experience having a care provider who takes the time to get to know the individual being cared for and giving them their undivided attention makes a huge difference, and that's what I am about. I am compassionate, knowledgeable, intune with others needs, reliable, trustworthy, and treat my patience as I would my own family.

I've been working with elderly and disabled folks for over 25 years, and I truly enjoy what I do. I began working in nursing homes at the age of 18, and spent many years working as a CNA (nurses' aide) and a CMA (medication assistant). I have experience working in adult foster homes, group homes and in private homes as well. I have encountered people with a broad range of physical, psychological, and medical challenges over the years. You will find that I'm compassionate, patient, honest and reliable. Currently I work for a local in-home care agency, but there are long gaps in my schedule, and I find myself frequently without a full-time assignment. I prefer overnight shifts, but am willing to pick up evening hours and short shifts as well. I can occasionally work for a few hours during the day from time to time, but being an overnight caregiver demands i keep a regular sleep schedule. Finally, I am happy to work weekends!
