Hi! I've been a caregiver for more than 12 years; but in the medical field for more than 40 I began my caregiver role after volunteering for hospice in a variety of roles. I felt a calling to contact my local hospice after being a volunteer in a local service league of which one of our projects was fundraising for hospice. After enrolling in the volunteer program, background check, lab work, they provided a thorough and continuous education as a sitter for patients. The caring part came naturally; although I had gained hands on experience while working for various physicians. My education from The University of Alabama along with hands-on experience from physicians in both front and back office medical clinics provide me with the knowledge and training required. My heart does the rest. The best feeling and reward is when a patient and their family are happy with the care they receive. Being a caregiver not only helps the patient but also gives the family a break and some relief in knowing their loved one is being cared for without worry.

I take the most pride in my motherhood. I truly enjoy and have a passion for helping the elderly. I specialize in Alzheimer's, Dementia, and Parkinson's disease. I've worked with mentally challenged adult as well as other mental and medical conditions. I have worked in nursing homes as well as worked in the home health care industry. I have been to nursing class and and I'm a nurse's assistant.

I make sure my patients are took care of to the best that i know how. I like to make my patients feel like family to me cause that's what they become is my family. I like to be able to leave after my shift knowing i did everything i was suppose to do correctly and that my patients are satisfied with me

I love taking care of the elderly because I have alot of empathy, and compassion for others. I also had a son that was diagnosed with cancer at the age and I took care of him for 3 years then he passed. So I feel like I have alot of love, patience, and kindness to give.

I'm very friendly and I'm very easy to get along with. I am willing to learn new things and I take my job very seriously. I'm very compassionate and understanding. I will sit and have conversations with you without judgement, I will also do anything you need me to do as long as it's not harmful to you or myself. Caregiving is my specialty.

My name is SharonAshley, I am 29 years old, and have been an in-home private caregiver going on 10 years now. I am a very friendly, outgoing person. I absolutely love elderly patients and enjoy getting to spend time with them and getting to know them. I have my own reliable transportation and am willing to run errands/ do house keeping/ cooking or whatever they need help with. My father got diagnosed with cerebellar ataxia when I was younger and it really led me to be in this field, i watched many caregivers with him that werent in it for the right reasons and it made me want to be the person that these people need in their lives and to treat them how they should be treated. My grandmother sat with elderly clients that had alzheimers and dementia my whole life and I looked up to her so much. She got diagnosed with Parkinson's and dementia about 6 years ago and I spent those 6 years caring for her, she has since passed and I truly miss her and the job caring for her.
