About Jennifer

I spent some time caring for elderly women while in High School. It was during this time that I realized my passion for helping others. I thought that psychology would be the correct path for me, however I did not feel the same gratification as when I was helping those who could no longer care for themselves. Sixteen years ago, a friend of mine (that was a Certified Nurses Aide), recommended I might find the same fulfillment as she did in that field. I applied for hands on training at Briarcliff Pavilion where I learned the basics of becoming a Certified Caregiver. Since that time I have strived to help people fulfill their quality of life and provide support to their family and friends.

I been doing home health for multiple years because I like helping people and also learning things from the people I take care of. What makes me a good caregiver is my ability to go above and beyond the normal to brighten someone's day and to know that there are people that need and appreciate my help. You have to have patience and a caring attitude some cases are harder than others but in the end its about helping people stay somewhat independent and the need for loving dedicated caregivers are on the rise.
