I have always loved taking care of people, from my children to strangers. I never knew how to go about doing this for a living until a person I met told me I should be a nurse. I decided on becoming a cna instead because I enjoy the direct care part of the job. The one on one contact to make someone's life a little bit easier. I was lucky enough to get my first caregivers job with lifepath. This was it, where I was meant to be. I've met so many different types of people and cared for all of them. Being a caregiver is life changing . The people that I have cared for and have worked with, have become a part of my extended family. It's not for everyone but it is definitely where I am meant to be.
