I am a semi-retired RN and want to continue working with people as an in home caregiver. I provide supportive, helpful relationships that meet the goal of achieving and maintaining a person's health and independence, or respite for family caregivers. I have years of experience in geriatric nursing, dementia (Alzheimer's, stroke), brain/neurological disorders, mental health and home health care. I believe in maintaining people's independence, respect and dignity in the safety and comfort of their own home. I have been described by families and clients as compassionate and caring with a sense of humor that helps establish trusting, dependable, warm relationships. Hourly rates are negotiable, unlike home care agencies that charge min.$28 for staff with NO medical background other than OTJ training. I charge $20-$25 depending on number of hours and live in or not.
